Ardent Sessions: Canasta

Some of the best orchestral pop to  ever to show up on my doorstep is Chicago’s Canasta. I actually had never seen them live when I invited them down to Memphis to record for The Ardent Sessions at Ardent Studios.  I was just hooked by their CD! The band’s debut full-length album, We Were Set Up, is one of those magical albums that brings something new to the table with each subsequent listen. I’ve been listening to it for almost three years and I still fall in love with a different song every few months. The band is hard at work on their next album as I write this, so hopefully it will be released by the end of the year, it’s been in the works for a while now! In the meantime, let’s not forget about this gem of a band!
